Last month, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. Recently, the CBSE has also announced the evaluation criteria based on which the results for the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be prepared.
While speaking about the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, Ashok Pandey, Director, Ahlcon Group of Schools said to The Times of India that CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 cannot be conducted in June. Again, on the other hand, former CBSE chairperson Ashok Ganguly feels that the situation will improve and the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 can be conducted in the month of July. Keeping in view, the pandemic situation in the country, several experts have advised the board to conduct the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 in the online mode.
Due to the uncertainty relating to the board exams, several Class 12 Board Exam 2021 board exam candidates have taken to Twitter by using the hashtag #saveboardstudents. In the tweets, students are urging the authorities to cancel the Class 12 Board Exam 2021. Some have also suggested to evaluate them in a similar assessment criteria like the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students.
The CBSE had notified that a decision regarding the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be taken after a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021, when it announced the postponement of the exams last month. It had further stated that the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students will be notified at least 15 days before the commencement of the exams. However, now, it has to be seen what decision the CBSE takes considering all the factors.
