It is most important news for the customers of Punjab National Bank (PNB), the country’s second largest government bank. Punjab National Bank has alerted its lakhs of customers. The bank has made it clear that if you have not completed your KYC (know your customer) yet, then get it done immediately or else your account will be frozen. The bank had asked its customers to complete KYC by tweeting in this regard a few days ago. For the past several months, the bank has been asking its customers to update KYC.
Can’t withdraw money from account :
The bank tweeted and wrote that as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank, it is necessary for all customers to update KYC. To complete this work, the bank has fixed 31 August 2022 as the last date. According to the bank, if your account has not been updated KYC by 31 March 2022, then complete it by 31 August 2022. To update KYC, contact your parent branch. If you have not updated the KYC, then you will not be able to transfer money from your account.
KYC form to be filled
Actually, under KYC, the bank asks for the details of its customers. Every six months or a year, the bank asks its customers to fill the KYC form. In the KYC form, customers have to fill their name, bank account number, PAN card number, Aadhar card number, mobile number and complete address.
You can update KYC even sitting at home :
If you want to update KYC sitting at home, then for this you will have to e-mail your documents to the bank. Take special care that the documents should be sent from the registered mail id only. If your KYC document is not complete then you send it online. For KYC, customers will have to scan and send their address proof along with driving license, Aadhar card, NREGA card, PAN card.

Under this, address verification in the form of PAN, recent photo, Aadhaar or passport and other information sought by the bank has to be provided.
