The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has announced that the 123PAY power bill payment service is now available for more than 70 electricity boards. With the use of 123PAY and the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS), consumers will be able to quickly and easily pay their power bills. The payments can be made directly from bank accounts, stated an NPCI press release. 

How to pay electricity bill on 123PAY :

Here is a look at how to pay your electricity bill using 123PAY, as per the NPCI press release.

Step 1: Customer Calls on 123Pay payment numbers 080-4516-3666 or 6366 200 200

Step 2: First-time/New users will be onboarded first

Step 3: The User to choose the electricity Bill Payment option

Step 4: The user then should speak out the Electricity Board name for which payments need to be done.

Step 5: The user then has to enter the consumer/customer number and any other details as asked on the call

Step 6: The user will then get to know about the outstanding bill amount

Step 7: The user enters UPI PIN for payment

Users will be able to pay their electricity bills in 10 regional languages by dialling payment numbers '080 4516 3666' or '6366 200 200' powered by Bharat Bill Payment Service.

What is 123PAY :

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) designed the 123PAY UPI service for feature phones, which was launched earlier this year by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). 123PAY enables users of feature phones to execute a range of digital transactions by selecting one of four technology solutions. Calling an IVR (interactive voice response) number, app capabilities on feature phones, a missed call-based approach, and proximity sound-based payments are just a few of the features available.
